The 2011 National Chess Championships took place in Manchester on 14th & 15th July hosted by HASSRA Fylde.
2011 Winner
In a very tight and enjoyable tournament three competitors were tied for 1st place. Following a tie-break Darryl Wolstencroft (Fylde) beat Peter Jowett (North West) who came 2nd and Alfredo Luaces (South East) who was 3rd.
2012 Event
The next National Chess event will be held on 26th & 27th July 2012 hosted by HASSRA South East.
